Spinning My Wheels

Ever have one of those days where time seems to be flying by at warp speed and you seem to be stuck in slow-mo? That's the kind of day I'm having today.

I can't believe it's almost 2:00pm and instead of having lots of check marks next to the items on my to-do list, my list seems to only be getting longer. So what am I doing blogging instead of getting stuff done? Well, at the moment I'm working out on the elliptical trainer (literally spinning my wheels and getting nowhere) with my laptop propped up in front of me as always and so I thought perhaps if I blogged about my situation, it would help give me the proverbial kick in the butt I need.

I spent yesterday enjoying a lovely Valentine's Day with my boyfriend complete with chocolate, Chinese food (in honor of our first date), romance, and a little spanking. Doesn't get much better than that. But since we spent the day together and I did my best to disconnect from work and give him my full attention (well, except for doing the PB update and answering a few emails late last night), I feel like I need to catch up on everything today. I've got quite a bit of last minute running around to do in preparation for tomorrow's PB shoot and as well as about a dozen pages of dialogue to memorize tonight. I might have to test that old theory of sleeping on the scripts in the hopes of learning them by osmosis.

Time to hop off the trainer and tackle my to-do list full force. If I wasn't already in for 3 scenes, 1 nasty paddling, and 120 swat bonus spanking tomorrow AND hadn't also been spanked firmly (yet fondly) last night, I'd almost consider asking for a spanking to help me focus on the tasks (chores, packing, lines, emails, updates, etc) that need to be accomplished. But as it stands, I think I'm best off proving what a Diet Coke and adrenaline powered Pixie can do!

Don´t worry Pixie we all have days like that. Sometimes one simply isn´t in the mood to do all the things we are supposed to do (and sometimes one is but the day just seems too short).
Don´t try to hard to memorize all your dialogues or it won´t work at all. Besides if you fail your dialogues we get more bloopers for the next Pixie´s Previews ;-) .

I have had that kinda week this whole week actually so I can definitely relate to where you're coming from. Ive have a kiddo that's been sick with the flu all week and I dont know if Im just really exhausted from taking care of a sick child and working or if I maybe coming down with it to.. Golly it maybe all 3 lol.. Hopefully not tho. Thankfully it's the weekend and I can get soom R&R.

I had a idea for helping u to remember ur lines.. Maybe record them and then put ya some headphones on when yer ready for bed an sleep with it on repeat lol..

Have a good weekend!!

You always do well with your lines, but I know how stressful it can get the night before. I get all worried too, but then somehow it all works. I can't wait to see how the next shoot goes. I am thinking about all of you and miss you all.

Sounds like you're going to be too sore to sit real soon... which should make it easy to get a bunch of stuff done. The glass is always hal full.

It's very difficult to get back on track after a bit of fun. Sometimes a looming deadline has a way of speeding up your efforts
...that or a looming threat of corner time on the set should you not come prepared! Knowing you, that is highly unlikely! 2Good

Glad that you had a good Valentine's Day!

Dag, sweetie, do you have any idea how many volunteers you'll get if you tell folks "I need a spanking." ????

I'm sure you'll get everything done. Hope they film the nasty paddling last. :-( What's that all about?

Glad you had a great Valentine's Day. Onward to Easter. ;-)

Aww, it must be contagious, because whatever it is, I have had it all week, too.

Hope the shoot keeps you focused. I can kind of see how that might clear your head. :)

I think it's been that kind of week for a lot of people. I could hardly tell if I was coming or going.

Don't stress about the lines too much, you'll do great! Just enjoy the shoot:). Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Multi-tasking at its finest!

I was hoping you'd wait to film the blogiversary spanking until your readers (that'd be me) can give you the spankings that we posted for... I think that'd be 15 from me. :) Hehehe....

Learning lines does not work by osmosis - I've tried it. There is for me no alternative to continual repetition - out loud! Read them over and again - and rehearse whenever possible with someone else rading in he other part(s).

I envy you your ability to multi-task - something I have never managed!

Oh - and with friends like Chloe Elise who need enemies? I hope there ski a nic big addle waithing for her when next sh does a PB shoot. Congratulations on getting Charlie Skye to stand in for Andy. That should be really worth waiting for!

Elor - I have no doubt there will be plenty of good material for the blooper reel from all of us! Although I'm usually pretty good about learning my lines, for some reason, I just couldn't absorb them this week, osmosis or not. I'm glad I didn't stress over them too long as we ended up swapping out one scene and ad libbing the rest due to time constraints.

emily - I hope you got plenty of rest this weekend. Sure sounds like you could use a break!

Sarah - It did indeed all turn out well in the end. I didn't know you stressed so much about your lines too. You always have them down pat by showtime!

Todd & Suzy - Oh, I am definitely sore today. Although I can sit, doing so on anything firmer than the soft couch is a chore.

2Good - Corner time!?!? Let's not give anyone any ideas.

Greg - Thank you!

007 - Lucky for me, the nasty paddling got postponed. :) It was a member suggested scene, but it will have to wait until a future shoot. I can only imagine how sore I'd be today if the paddle was found.

Anonymous - I hope you're able to break free of the spin cycle for this coming week. So frustrating to feel like you're not getting anywhere.

Javi - I think it all turned out really well. I'm eager as always to see the video content, but I'm already pleased with how the photos turned out.

Chloe - Hmmm ... wasn't there a suggestion that you'd get 2 for every comment you personally left? So that might be 15 for me, but 30 for you. >:) What do you say, brat?

Winchester - Yeah, osmosis is a lost cause. Only results in getting printer ink on the pillow case anyway. But I did manage to get everything I needed to accomplish completed by the end of the day and the shoot went quite well.

I will certainly see if a nice big paddle can be in dear Chloe's future. What are friends for, eh?

Tammy - hello?
