For me personally, I've always put a pair on underneath just as I would if I were getting dressed in daytime clothes. I simply found it more comfortable that way and never gave it much thought. I'd like to open up the topic for your feedback and insight as well. When it comes to pajama spankings, do you prefer that the girl not wear panties? Even if the spanking is delivered straight to the bare, is it a bit of a let down to see the panties gathered up in the pants? Or do you perhaps actually prefer to see the panties as there are just so many cute styles and prints to don these days? And is it a matter of a slight cultural difference in which only American girls customarily wear panties to bed? Curious bratty minds want to know. :)

I think there are plenty of people in the US that wear PJs without undies. In my family growing up, the male members of the family (including me) wore rather formal pajamas that were usually light blue in color, and the shirt had buttons and sometimes even a pocket! I haven't seen these in years. They're not very stylish, but they were comfortable for muggy summer nights. And no, I usually didn't wear anything under them. (Of course, boxer briefs didn't exist then. Today, I find them the ideal sleepwear, either by itself in the summer, or under something heavier in the winter.)
As for the women, I think they always wore nightgowns, not pajama pants, and they probably had undies on, too. For a change of pace, why not find an ankle-length, lacy nightgown, and wear full-cut cotton briefs under it?

Oh we were never allowed to wear anything under our pyjamas either at home or boarding school. Fortunately never spanked in them either .

It would be my preference that the pajama spankings be without panties. The sight of a clingy, thin PJ bottom that highlights a woman's beautiful curves is a major turn-on. The spanking should start over the PJ's and finish on the bare bottom.

I don't wear panties under my pj bottoms at all, although many a time right before a spanking was to comense I wished that I had that extra layer of protection.
Although you did bring up a great point about being to see the red bottom much more clearly without the panties.
Are you planning on doing any scenes where one brat is hauled straight out of bed from that first thing in the moringe spanking before they are even fully awake? Being on the recieving end of a few of those, it does wake up up better than any kind of caffine would. Not to mention you feel the burning sensation when you are done and finally get into the shower and get ready for the day. If the spanking is particularly severe then you feel the ache for most of the day too.

I'd prefer bedtime pajama spankings without panties. Bedtime spankings are a great fantasy. I've mentioned this in a previous post but working in a large office you see many attractive women on a daily basis. I would sometimes fantasize that one of them would play my babysitter and I would do something to warrant a spanking. After a few hard swats to my bottom I would be told to march to my room to get ready for bed. I am on record as being in favor of bedtime spankings for naughty or anxious girls.
To be honest, my favorite is when my wife wears the top of my pajamas and I wear the bottom. She does not wear panties.
I can't wait for Shadow Lane and the opportunity to give you some empirical results as to whether the girls being put to bed are wearing panties or not.
As I recall from the morning Brat's Breakfasts, most of them were wearing undies, but that may have been due to modesty in sitting on chairs and from the extra thrill they got when their panties were taken down for their spankings.

First of all, thanks for the link. Very cool site. As for your question... have to go with no panties (at least usually). Suzy has, for the most part, no worn panties under her PJs. If she wears panties, than she doesn't bother with the PJs.
From a spanking perspective, spanking over the PJ bottoms is very similar to spanking over panties. Certainly times when it's good to add that extra step between PJs and bare bottom though.
btw... getting spanked with an extra-extra large shirt and nothing else (like many women wear to bed) is pretty fun too.

I live for pj spankings. I appreciate that lingere has its uses, but when it comes to bedtime spankings, there's nothing like seeing a girl in flannel pajamas. Dropseat pajamas are even better. I know pixie once said that dropseats tend to fall all the way past her knees, but I'm betting there's a pair out there somewhere that fits her lovely petite frame. :)
Obviously, panties and dropseats don't go together at all. I don't have any real objection if a girl chooses to wear them underneath the pjs, but I WOULD agree with what seems to be the consensus that it IS a little more of a turn-on if the girl is au natural underneath the flannel. ;)

In the UK it is, or was, when I was growing up, normal for both males and females to wear pyjamas without underwear. There is a definite attraction, especially on this side of the pond for a female being spanked whilst wearing her pyjamas.
Personally I prefer traditional flannel pyjamas as the recommended mode of dress for a spanking.

Adding another UK vote here - I have never worn panties under my pyjamas, even when I was younger. I personally don't feel "fresh" wearing undies to bed under jammies. It just feels a bit clammy. Panties and a little top are fine as bedtime wear on their own but on jammy nights, definitely no panties underneath :-)

I find myself in difficulty here -as so often. Any particular reason?
