Sunnier Days

We're having unseasonably cold temperatures and heavy rain complete with flood warnings today. It's gray, dark, and dreary out, so I thought I'd post some pictures of sunnier days to brighten things up a bit.

These pics were taken during my trip to OBX last October.
Right before taking this picture showing off my tanlines ...

... my boyfriend took this one without me knowing. I'm not sure what he was going for, but I'm pretty sure he missed.

We went kayaking in the bay. Mine is the pink one of course (though it looks almost white in this pic). This was taken as we took the ferry to Ocracoke. I'd like to get the waterproof case for my camera before I dare take it in the kayak with me just in case I tip over.

There were some beautiful sunsets over at the Canadian Hole.

The first pic is of Ocracoke lighthouse and the second is it's stairwell. That's enough to make anyone dizzy! The last pic is of Cape Hatteras lighthouse which had a much wider spiral. They made us promise not to race one another going up the 248 steps to the top. Rats! That's no fun then.

Spring... summer ... sun ... come back soon!

Nice tan lines. Makes me want to color them in.

Thanks anonymous. :) A good challenge for the spanker would be to not color outsdie the lines. Lol.

Hi Pixie,

Yes, that does seem like a nice coloring challenge.

Looks like you had a nice time beside the Graveyard of the Atlantic, home of some of the Worlds most vicious mosquitoes. It's not too far from me.

Was that the first time you visited the Hatteras Lighthouse or did you see it before the move?

Mark, it was my first time to OBX. I'd only seen the Hatteras Lighthouse in its old location on the documentary about its move.

You're right about the mosquitoes. I learned my that first morning to not step outside the house without a good dose of insect repellent on.
