Yesterday was beautiful - sunny and in the 60s. Perfect for a nice hike at the reservoir.
While most people like to take the perimeter trail, I much prefer going off trail where it's quieter and more scenic. Of course there's a greater chance of getting lost that way ... and as navigationally challenged as I am, the odds are definitely not in my favor. ;-)
Thankfully, my boyfriend was with me so I thought for certain we wouldn't get lost. But when even he got turned around a bit, I couldn't help but make a few wise comments. He then decided the best policy was to speak softly and carry a big stick (literally) to smack my butt with. Gotta love the great outdoors.
The reservoir used to be farmland in 1800's and early 1900's and some of the old stone foundations of houses and barns are still standing in the woods, fields, and abandoned orchard.
A room with a view. :)
I think I feel a draft.
Naughty hiker! Up against the wall! Hands up!
Too bad the marks from my run in with the big stick had already faded.

What a fantastic set of pictures brat!! Maybe I'm missing something, but where are the switch marks :-D
I love the one where you are leaning through the old window.
Rich.
Dear Pixie,
It seems to me that the last three pictures are the "room with a view".....:-)

Note to self: Go hiking more often. You never know WHAT you'll find in the woods. ;) Thanks for sharing the greta pics, sweetie. Always a great thing to see your bare bottom on display. Let us know if you find a giant gingerbread house or Grandma's house back there in the woods. ;) (Hey, you just DID Goldilocks, ya never know...)
Nice bunns Hun! I agree with Ol' Hound Dog though... no marks?
No, no marks this time around. Maybe we should all take a little trip to the woods and change that. :) Field trip!!!
Forgive me if I am being too forward, but you really are a lovely woman!
Such a beautiful smile, and such a beautiful behind!
(And beautiful in other ways too!)
