I went to the movies tonight with my boyfriend to see Zodiac. While it was scary and at times suspenseful, it was very interesting and not the kind of scary that will make me afraid to turn the lights out or worried that something will grab me from under the bed. I never understood why it is that monsters would wait patiently under the bed to grab your ankle unless you jumped into bed and hid under the oh so protective sheets, but you know it's true.
My boyfriend has already announced that we will be going to see Dead Silence when it comes out next week. Creepy dolls and gruesome murders?? Better get the nightlight out.
When is a nice romantic comedy going to hit theaters?
More fun than the movie was playing air hockey beforehand. Although the scores were close, I lost the first two games. My boyfriend was strutting around imitating a sports commentator - "And here we are in the loser's locker room. Two out of two games lost. How do you feel? What do you think the problem is tonight?" My reply was something along the lines of my opponent being Gorilla Arms McGee being the problem.
We sunk in another 4 quarters and played our last game. The score was tied 5 to 5 when the timer signaled it was our last chance to score and declare a winner. I was not going down without a fight. The puck bounced side to side and came to a near stop right on the center line. As Gorilla Arms leaned over to hit the puck thereby giving me a clear shot, I jumped up and belly flopped (in a most ladylike fashion I assure you) onto the table, gave the puck a good hard knock, and scored the winning point. He declared it cheating. I declared it creative. He gave me a good smack on the behind as we headed into the theater. I'm sure the concession stand people saw it, but I'm just trying to tell myself it was no different than professional athletes giving eachother a pat to say "good game".

That is just too funny because I can just SO see you doing that. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a determined Pixie and her competitive spirit :-)
I dunno, "Dead Silence" looks lik a romantic comedy to me. Conversely, I saw "Music and Lyrics" and that was pretty much a horror movie.
Hahaha. Music and Lyrics isn't on my must-see list either. There just isn't anything good out at the moment!
