Candy!

I received a care package from my family today filled with all sorts of German candies! I love all of the German candy I can't get here in the states, especially salmiak licorice. My favorites are the Sallos Black & White candies. All of my friends think it's gross and will no longer take me up on any of my kind offers to share. But that's fine. All the more for me!

Mmmmmm ... Commence sugar high!

Hi Pixie,

great to see you have your own blog!
The candy on the picture looks very familiar to me. It is something you can bye here in every supermarket.
Try to visit Europe and take yourself a suitcase full back to the states ;-)

keep up to post a lot!

I'd love to do that Ben. :) I can just see myself in the airport toting one bag with my clothes and necessities and the other crammed full with chocolate and licorice. Customs would have a field day with me!

What kind of German candy do you like? I might be able to find it here in NY. Gotta tell you though, you really want to try BRITISH candy. We are never gonna catch up to the Brits when it comes to confections. No M&M comes close to a tube of Smarties. No gummy candy comes close to a Rountree Pastelle. And as for their chocolate.......mmmmmmmmmm ;)

My favorite British candy is a Wispa bar (or is it Whispa?)... I used to be able to find it at a speciality shop up in Aiken, SC...or the World Market down here, but I don't think they stock it here anymore.
